Southport College is currently recruiting a Bricklaying Tutor (Lecturer / Performance Coach) to join our Construction team on a temporary, part-time basis while we recruit to the permanent position.
Role Details
  • Job Title: Lecturer / Performance Coach - Bricklaying
  • Hours: 12 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Full day on Wednesday, with flexibility for an additional day
  • Contract Type: Temporary, part-time (until the permanent role is filled)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Southport
About the Role
You will deliver high‑quality bricklaying training to learners within a Further Education setting, supporting both practical skills development and learner progression. The role combines teaching, assessment, and coaching to help students achieve their vocational goals.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified and experienced in Bricklaying / Construction Trades
  • Available to start immediately
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Fully vetted – two professional references already returned
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners across a range of abilities
  • Understanding of FE standards, learner progress tracking, and assessment
